Updating Important Information During Your Divorce

Even if you want to retain your former spouse as your beneficiary for the benefit of your children, or to protect an ex from the loss of an alimony obligation, you should update your beneficiary designations after your Decree has been issued so that there is no dispute over your intentions or subsequent litigation.
